Arik Air start flights from Kano to Enugu

Arik Air, West Africa’s largest commercial carrier, is  expanding its domestic services with the inauguration of non-stop flights between Kano and Enugu.
This is the first time an airline will be connecting the two major cities.
Announcing the new service on Monday, Chris Ndulue, Arik Air’s managing director, reveals that the non-stop flight between Kano and Enugu is the first scheduled Arik service not originating from any of its hubs in Lagos and Abuja.

Arik Air is pleased to connect the cities of Kano and Enugu. With the inauguration of the non-stop service, passengers don’t have to connect in Abuja or Lagos anymore, but can now fly between Kano and Enugu in just one hour and twenty minutes. The new service will operate three times a week with tickets selling from N15, 000.A Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft will be deployed on the new route. Arik Air has configured this jet to 74 seats only, in order to allow for more leg room and aisle space than any other similar category aircraft in the region.

This adds additional comfort for passengers. The leather seats are both comfortable and luxurious, and the smooth, quiet and environmentally-friendly aircraft provides a relaxing and stress-free journey.Arik Air was founded in 2006 and started commercial operations on October 30, 2006, between Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, with three brand new Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft becoming the first CRJ900 operator on the African continent, and the first airline to introduce new commercial aircraft into Nigeria in over 20 years.
