Major Delays Seen Monday In Flights From Paris

Big  delays in air traffic from Paris should be expected all day Monday due to snowfall, Air France-KLM (AF.FR) said in an emailed statement. In a separate statement, Paris region airport operator Aeroports de Paris (ADP.FR) said it didn’t expect any flights to land at the Orly airport before the afternoon and that flights at Charles de Gaulle-Roissy are disrupted due to the snowfall. One long-haul flight runway is currently in operation at Charles de Gaulle and the airport operator said it expects to have another one in operation shortly. Long-haul flights would be given priority for landing, the operator said.

Further flights could be cancelled Monday, Air France said separately, though it didn’t provide figures of how many flights have been cancelled already. The French civil Aviation body earlier Monday said that it has requested airlines cut planned flights from the two main Paris airports, Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly, by 30% for the day.
