Air Jamaica airlines announced the resumption of flights to Santiago de Cuba

Air Jamaica Resumes Flights to Santiago de Cuba on December 25 with two flights per week.Air Jamaica Marketing Manager Deryck Dwyer noted that the flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays connecting Jamaica´s capital and Montego Bay with Santiago de Cuba.Since March 2011, Air Jamaica services operated charter flights using this route, while waiting for the authorization of the two countries to carry out flights on a regular basis.

The route is a good strategic election for the airline given that hundreds of Jamaican students attend universities in Santiago de Cuba and neighboring provinces and many Cuban professionals that work in Jamaica are from the eastern and central territories of Cuba, according to Dwyer.
